The Hide is located in a large private concession on the eastern boundary of Hwange National Park. It is regarded as one of the best situated safari camps in Zimbabwe.  Its position within this section of the park also means that access to the camp is by road and no air charters are necessary.

Access is by road from Victoria Falls or Bulawayo.

Guests usually choose to fly into Vic Falls Airport and then take a 2-hour road transfer to Hwange Main Camp where a representative from The Hide will meet you and transfer you through the Hwange National Park to the camp. This transfer is approximately 1 hour but is in itself a game drive and introduction to the Hwange National Park.

Private charter flights into the Hwange Airport can be arranged.

Self-drive guests should follow the signposts to Hwange Main Camp from the main Bulawayo - Victoria Falls Road. Vehicles can be left at Hwange Main Camp or 4 x 4 vehicles can be driven directly to The Hide after registration at The Main Camp Parks Office.
