The Hide is ideally suited for a maximum of 24 guests and offers a consistent and highly recommended African Safari experience in Zimbabwe.
Home to the Big 5, Hwange National Park is also one of the last remaining sanctuaries in Africa where herds of up to 100 elephants may be seen.
Offering over 400 bird species, the park is a birders paradise.
Facilities & Services
The Hide offers a variety of game viewing activities.
There are two comfortably carpeted underground hides at the pan for game viewing and photography. During the dry months (May to November) there is a constant flow of animals to the pan as water is scarce.
Walking trails in the company of a professional guide are generally excellent in Hwange - The Hide is particularly well known for its guiding standards and the rewarding wildlife experience it consistently delivers.
Early morning, afternoon and night drives are conducted on the concession and in the National Park.
The Dove's Nest is a romantic tree house above a beautiful viewing platform where guests can sleep a night out. The Nest has running water, shower and toilet.
The lodge area has an attractive A frame, housing the dining room, sun lounge and upper viewing deck. A swimming pool provides a welcome place to cool off.
The water hole is lit at night so guests can enjoy watching the game throughout dinner.
There is one tent accessible for guests with disabilities.

Children between 10 and 12 years are welcome at The Hide. Please refer to the rates table for child rates.

Other Disclosures:
The rates are inclusive of accommodation, all meals, local drinks, up to four game activities per day, tea and coffee, laundry and 2% government levy.
Transfers from Hwange Main Camp to and from The Hide must be booked separately at a cost of US $ 50 per person for a return transfer.
The rates exclude park fees, which must be paid at the camp in cash.
Transfers from Vic Falls Airport or Bulawayo to Hwange Main Camp must be arranged separately.
Hwange can be cold in the evenings and early mornings, we therefore advise you to pack a set of warm trousers and jacket.
Guests have to pay a deposit of 20% to confirm bookings.
