Zambezi River, which plummets over the Victoria Falls into the Batoka gorge, separates the placid river above the falls and turbulent rapids below. The gorge is over 100 metres deep at the falls.
Acclaimed as the wildest one-day white water run in the world, Zambezi River is also recognised by rafting and kayaking enthusiasts as one of the top 10 paddling rivers on the planet.
Guests will be briefed at the ‘look out' located on the edge of the gorge. The full day rafting tour is from 8 am to 4 pm.
- Duration: 9 hour(s)
- Location: Victoria Falls
At the ‘look out' on the edge of the gorge, guests undergo a briefing session and have tea, coffee and biscuits before embarking on the days adventure. Lunch will be served on the banks of the river.
Rafting options depend on the time of the year. Low water is from August to January (rapids 1 to 21) and high water is from February to July (rapids 11 to 21).
