Cultural Tour - Village and Rural School.
Mrs. Mpisi re-plasters her kitchen floor with cow dung, smoothing it out over the floor area with her bare hands; the dung will dry and form a hard, sealed finish. Take time to sit with and learn from Headman Mpisi as he enlightens you on village life as it is in this day and age. Enjoy his vivid stories and explanations as he shares with you the ways of the traditional villagers, how they live off the lands seasonal produce, healing through herbal remedies, their monetary system, value and customs. Away from the tourism hub, but only 4kms from the town center, a trip to one of many local villages is a humbling and knowledge receiving experience.
Guests will be collected from their hotel and lodge and driven by minibus to the local village.
On arrival you will be introduced to the headman who will conduct an informative tour of the village and local school.
At the end of your tour the driver will return you to your hotel.
