Zimbabwe is the gateway to three countries, Zambia, Namibia and Botswana. The close proximity of Zimbabwe to these surrounding countries enables you the opportunity to visit the famous Chobe National Park in Botswana and enjoy an overnight camping safari. The Chobe National park is home to many species of large herbivores - most notably elephant and buffalo. Puku and Lechwe can be seen on the banks and islands of the Chobe River and large pods of hippopotamus. Your overnight safari includes a 3 hour cruise on the river and a game drive. Listen to the sounds of the surrounding bush as you share stories around the evening camp fire, before settling into your tents for a night under the starlit African skies.
Itinerary
08:30 hrs - Your guide will meet you at the Kazungula border post and escort you through the immigration facilities before transferring you to the nearby Kasane town for some last minute shopping.
09:30 hrs - Guests board their boat for a cruise on the Chobe River into the National park.
12:30 hrs - After the cruise you will be transferred to your "wilderness" camp a packed lunch will be served along the way.
After settling into your tents you will be served tea or coffee and then depart on your afternoon game drive.
The evening will be spent around the campfire enjoying dinner.
Next morning you will be woken at dawn, served a light breakfast before being transferred back to the Kazungula border post between 08:30 and 09:00 hrs.
09:30 hrs - Guests board their boat for a cruise on the Chobe River into the National park.
12:30 hrs - After the cruise you will be transferred to your "wilderness" camp a packed lunch will be served along the way.
After settling into your tents you will be served tea or coffee and then depart on your afternoon game drive.
The evening will be spent around the campfire enjoying dinner.
Next morning you will be woken at dawn, served a light breakfast before being transferred back to the Kazungula border post between 08:30 and 09:00 hrs.
