Chobe Day Trip
Chobe National Park is probably Botswana's next most well-known conservation area where the large herds of elephant can often be seen, mainly in the high season, as well as many other species of wildlife such as giraffes, buffalos and impalas to name a few. The bird viewing is also excellent with many migratory birds between November and March. It is a diverse area, from the border at Chobe River to the now-dry Savute Channel and beyond to the borders of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve.
The group leaves Victoria Falls early in the morning, 7:30, for an approximate 90-minute transfer across the Zimbabwe - Botswana border into Kasane. Your day trip includes a boat/pontoon cruise on Chobe River and game drive in an open 4 x 4 vehicle in Chobe National Park. Lunch is enjoyed at Chobe Safari Lodge on the banks of the river. Drinks on the safari and cruise are included. Guests should expect to return to their hotel or lodge in Victoria Falls at approximately 18:30.
Participant guidelines
For most nationalities, a visa for Botswana is not required. It is advisable to check in advance if you are planning a Botswana trip. If planning a trip to Chobe, you should request a double or a multiple entry visa when entering Zimbabwe for the first time; this will save money and time.
