Adrenaline High Wire Half Day
The high wire is suspended across the gorge at a point that is 316 m in width and 120 m in depth. A harness and the jumping ropes are attached to the jumper; the other ends of the ropes are attached to the middle of the cable.
Gorge swing: Imagine a giant swing 95 m long and 120 m high above water and a free fall before one begins swinging.
Zipline: Consider the adrenaline rush travelling at a speed of 106 km hurtling 425 m across the gorge while suspended 120 m above the Zambezi.
Flying fox: This activity involves taking a running jump into thin air over the chasm and soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi below.
Guests are picked up and driven to Batoka Gorge for a half day adrenaline rush.
On arrival you will be given a safety briefing and outline of the programme of events.
Following fitting of the safety harness you will begin your activities.
Guests will usually start with the Flying Fox, followed by the Zip line and finishing with the ultimate adrenaline activity the Gorge Swing.
Soft drinks are provided on the trip.
Guests will be briefed at the ‘look out' , base camp, that is located at the edge of the gorge.
Clients should dress comfortably in trousers or shorts.
All the instructors have been trained to a level of Grade 2 South African rope and access; all clients are covered by Rand 200 million public liability. First aid kits are on site at all times.
