A' Zambezi River Lodge is located on the banks of the upper Zambezi River approximately five km from the town centre and is the only hotel in Victoria Falls with river frontage. It is set on the edge of the Zambezi National Park so buffalos, elephants, impalas and hippos can often be seen on the perimeter of the spacious hotel grounds. The resident hippo, Sebastian, can sometimes be seen at night feeding on the lawns. Guests can access town on the shuttle service which runs regularly from the hotel to the town centre and Rainforest entrance.
Facilities & Services
The lodge has a large swimming pool surrounded by sun-loungers and umbrellas. A barbecue area overlooks the Zambezi River. Green lawns cover the gardens and extend down to the river banks shaded by indigenous trees. There is a gift shop, travel shop, ample parking area, and thatched restaurant overlooking the Zambezi. A courtesy shuttle operates to and from Victoria Falls. Wireless Internet is available.
Each evening from 7 - 9 pm you will be treated to a show case of cultural entertainment with the sounds of the traditional Marimba or African Piano, followed by the Zulu Warriors and their display of traditional Matabele dancing.
